Sustainability

At the DAIHO Group, we have added the phrase “Let’s preserve the global environment for future generations” to our core management policy. In line with this vision, we have advanced the development of eco-friendly technologies that reduce environmental impact—including our success with PIM (Pulp Injection Molding) and innovations in plastic recycling.
Guided by the founding motto “Professional, Top-Class, Number One,” DAIHO INDUSTRIAL connects its employees through a shared determination to always aim for the top. As we approach our 90th anniversary in 2027, we continue advancing toward the next milestone—our 100th anniversary—as a symbol of becoming a lasting, future-focused company.
The DAIHO Group was originally founded on plastic molding, a process rooted in fossil fuel-based materials. While our business has since expanded into HVAC system components and ventilation products for residential applications, we recognize that plastic manufacturing contributes to environmental challenges such as marine pollution, climate change due to rising temperatures, and the depletion of natural resources.
Despite these issues, plastic remains indispensable in our lives due to its high productivity and ease of processing. It is not realistic to eliminate its use entirely from the market.
Therefore, the pursuit of sustainability through ESG management is not only necessary but a responsibility we embrace. At DAIHO, we view ESG initiatives as part of our core mission and are committed to advancing them in alignment with our fundamental management principles.
DAIHO INDUSTRIAL has long been committed to environmental initiatives, and we recognize the prevention of global warming as a particularly critical social and environmental issue.
As part of our carbon neutrality efforts, we aim to reduce CO₂ emissions by 30% by 2030 compared to fiscal year 2019.
Since 2011, DAIHO INDUSTRIAL has published an annual Environmental Report to transparently share our ongoing environmental activities and progress with stakeholders.
Building on our extensive experience in plastic processing, we have developed D-PIM™ (Pulp Injection Molding)—a technology that utilizes paper-based raw materials to produce products with physical properties comparable to plastic, offering a sustainable alternative.
We recover polypropylene (PP) resin from discarded home appliances and, after metal and contaminant removal, use our proprietary washing system and natural cleaning agents to produce recycled resin that meets food safety standards under Japan’s Food Sanitation Law.
