Each of us takes small, meaningful steps to protect and nurture the environment.
We aim to foster people and manufacturing that care for the environment—by cherishing our surroundings and taking action through everyday activities.
We aim to reduce Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 30% by 2030 compared to FY2019 levels.
We report on the environmental initiatives of all DAIHO INDUSTRIAL Group companies.
ISO 14001 certification has been obtained at our key production sites.
The global environment continues to suffer from pollution due to mass production, mass consumption, and mass disposal—alongside urban lifestyles and industrial structures. This has led to global challenges such as global warming, deforestation, industrial waste management issues, and the spread of harmful substances like dioxins and endocrine disruptors.
At the DAIHO Group, we recognize that our plastic molding and secondary processing activities, even when unintentional, place various burdens on the environment. As employees and family members of this organization, we share a responsibility to protect our irreplaceable planet and pass on a rich and thriving environment to future generations. To achieve a more peaceful and sustainable way of life, each of us must not only comply with regulations but also engage in voluntary actions that promote a circular, harmonious, and low-impact business model.
With this awareness, we have added the phrase “Let’s preserve the global environment for future generations” to our core management policy. To encourage all employees to take initiative in promoting environmentally conscious plastic molding and processing, we are actively building environmental management systems at our major production sites.
We believe the key to embedding environmental responsibility lies in loving the environment around us and taking action in our daily lives. That’s why all DAIHO Group sites and production operations have acquired ISO 14001 certification, and why we are committed—step by step—to protecting and nurturing the environment, starting with what each individual can do.
DAIHO INDUSTRIAL has long been committed to environmental initiatives, viewing the prevention of global warming as a critical social and environmental issue.
To strengthen our efforts toward carbon neutrality, we have set a clear goal: to reduce CO₂ emissions under Scope 1 and 2 by 30% by 2030, compared to 2019 levels.
To achieve our ambitious carbon neutrality goals, we recognized the need to further accelerate energy-saving initiatives, optimize production efficiency, and enhance equipment investment.
To this end, we established the Carbon Neutrality (CN) Committee under the direct supervision of company executives. This structure enables seamless collaboration between headquarters and all sites.
Headquarters serves as the team leader, while each site appoints representatives to form dedicated teams focused on operational improvement, manufacturing innovation, and equipment installation and renewal. These teams are supported by an administrative office and finance team to ensure effective execution.
As we work toward achieving our internal carbon neutrality goals, we are actively monitoring CO₂ emissions at each factory and accelerating the transition from energy-intensive hydraulic injection molding machines to energy-efficient electric models.
Looking ahead, we will further promote initiatives such as the adoption of renewable energy sources and continue advancing measures to reduce our environmental footprint across all production sites.
We published our first Environmental Report in 2011, covering activities from fiscal year 2010. Since then, we have continued to release an updated version annually to report on our environmental efforts.
The report provides a comprehensive summary of the DAIHO Group’s environmental conservation initiatives. We remain committed to continuously improving the accuracy and transparency of the information we share with our stakeholders.
